A PRESIDENTIAL MESSAGE FROM JIM

It’s time for baseball!  Hi everybody and welcome back for another season of Chatsworth Junior Baseball.

            There are many fun filled events planned for this season including bowling night, movies at the ballpark, skill improvement clinics, and many other activities.

            This year we have partnered with Major League Baseball (MLB) to hold the annual Pitch, Hit, and Run competition.  The event will be held at CJBL on April 30, 2010. The winners will move on to the next round, and ultimately the national winners will compete at the MLB all-star game. The competition is free and we encourage all our kids to participate.

            CJBL is a non-profit organization that is staffed and run by volunteers. I would like to thank the Board of Directors, the Auxiliary, Managers, Coaches, Team Parents, and all of our volunteers. If you would like to volunteer please drop us a line.

            Special thanks to Mike Glendenning and the coaches from the Southern California Baseball Academy for a great clinic.

BACKGROUND CHECKS

At CJBL all adults involved with the kids are subject to background checks. This includes members of the board of directors, auxiliary members, managers, coaches and team parents. For those of you who are asked to fill out a background check form, we have provided it HERE for your convenience. We also want to assure you that we understand the sensitivity of this information and it is kept under very strict controls. Thanks you for your cooperation.

2010 Schedules are now posted. Please note schedules have been revised as of March 2nd at 8:15am.

Weather and Field Conditions:

All games that have been postponed due to rain will be rescheduled at a later date. Your Player Agents will be contacting you with the dates and times when your respective games will be played.

Weekday games the week of March 8 through March 12, will start at 4:30 pm not 5:00pm as shown in the schedules. 2 1/2 innings will be a complete game if the home team is ahead.

Our editors would like to see action from every division. Please email as many pictures as you would like in .jpg format. Large files are not a problem.
