A MESSAGE FROM STEVE

August 2008 : Well, it was another great spring season at CJBL! Thanks to all the players and parents that participated. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. As always, the Board of Directors and the Auxiliary did a great job through out the year to make the season a wonderful success. I hope that all of you appreciate all of the hard work that these men and women do all year as much as I do.

    As I always do in every Home Runner, I would like to take a moment to say thanks to some of the people who have helped make this year a good one for me. Without you guys I could never make it through the season. I am going to single out a few of these people for a special thanks, but it is all of you that helped make 2008 such a great season. Loree Marcoe and Laurie Renno, I would never have made it without your help. Elmer Guenthner, you’re the best! Thanks for being there 365 days a year. Charlie Carlson, great job on field maintenance. Jim Sandberg, Ken Paschal, Chris Broquist, and Mike Garbo, thanks for always being there whenever I needed you. And thanks to all the managers, coaches, and parents that volunteered their time this past year.

     Our 2008 Winterball season will be starting on Sunday, September 21st. Sign-ups will be on Saturdays September 6th, 13th, & 20th from 9am to 1pm. Please refer to the flyer in the Home Runner for more details. Or you can get more information on the website at cjbl.org. I hope to see a lot of you out there.

     For those of you who will not be participating in our winter program, I hope to see you in January at our pancake breakfast as we kick off our 2009 season.  In closing, I would like to congratulate Jim Sandberg on his new position as President of the Board of Directors, as well as Mike Garbo as the new Vice President. I wish you both lots of luck and give you my full support!

     Well, that wraps it up for now. I hope you all have a wonderful summer, and I hope to see you at the ballpark real soon.

Winterball: All divisions but Seniors are in full swing. Seniors will begin playing Sunday, September 28th. Check the schedule above for times.

2008 Chatworth Christmas Parade: CJBL will be participating in this years parade to be held on Sunday, December 14th. Click HERE for more details.
